Oooh, turbo?

Signature 2.5T ? Hoping you test it out with Premium gas.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:02 |

It should be Premium. I’m assuming the press car company puts in whatever they manufacturer ask for.

What’s in front of it is just as good.

Y ep!

i’d take an LC or LX over a G63 AMG any day
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:07 |

If it’s what I think it is (G wagen) then no
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:08 |

It’s a G63
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:08 |

I’m with Nibby - I’d rather have the LX, personally.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:08 |

DI you guess it was a 63 because they alm ost all are or is there a defining feature?
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:10 |

Nice - where will the write up go?

I’m excited to hear about this.

I give it... 2 days before CEL or other malady.

Good news...
We are planning a camping/off road trip here in it. Hoping to tow a camping trailer there, off road in the LX, then tow it back. Just over two hours away. http://www.windrockpark.com/

RFD - the Kia Optima just went up last week. Will and I are a bit behind haha.

ZOOOOOOOM.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:18 |

This is a press car too. It’s either going to be the best Mazda 6 ever or the worst. I do have an absolute disdain for the infotainment.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:18 |
|
You’re taking which car offroad? The G63?
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:19 |
|
Spoiler alert - the infotainment sucks. I had it with the 124 Abarth and found it to be miserable.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:19 |

Nah, that 2019 LX presser I get in Feb
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:20 |

Ah - much better car for that. Pretty sure the G63 is no more useful than the Mazda off road.

ZOOOOOOOM
to the nearest gas station
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:23 |

Holy crap, the G63 gets 13 hahahah. Stuid Germans cant get the 15mpg of the LX.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:24 |

i’d get... 14-15 mpg city in my 2015 ram 1500 with a hemi. highway, i could get around 21-22, 23-25 if I tried

I’ve gotten up to 27+ in the ISF on the two roadtrips I’ve done.

haven’t road tripped my F150 yet but would be curious to see how it does with that 2.7L ecoboost and 10 speed
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:29 |

That’s too bad. I didn’t think the one in the ND I tried two years ago was great either, but I figure the addition of CarPlay will make up for it.

Ha, nice, you’ll have the RDX on my birthday.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:47 |

I can’t believe you don’t like the infotainment. I love that little wheel thing, and I despise having to touch screens while driving.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:48 |
|
I’ll have to play with it a bit more but my experience with the 124 Abarth(Miata) screen as poor at best.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 11:49 |
|
I’m intrigued about that one. I’ve had quite a few crossovers at this point so it’s easy to see the difference . The Acura guy did a good job of selling the car as a good one to test. It’s the first next gen Acura out

SH-AWD is great. My TL has it, and it makes the TLX handle a lot better.

It’s better than the Lexus mousepad shit. It’s not the best but at least you have that controller knob with easy shortcuts, or the Infiniti/Acura dual screens one you can touch one you cannot
My ideal system would be something ONE screen where you can use both touch and knob controller regardless of whether you’re stopped or moving.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 12:18 |
|
Lexus has almost transitioned off of the mouse. It’s now a track pad which I tend to like.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 12:24 |
|
An iDrive type knob is better IMO , keep the trackpad on top of it for handwriting inputs for a ll I care . On I knob controller I know one single push/pull move any direction means going to the next item on the menu instead of moving my finger few mm and then looking at the screen and seeing where the cursor is. It’s fine if you’re at your office desk, not ok while driving. Unless perhaps it has 1 to 1 mapping like the new RDX where right corner touch corresponds exactly to right corner menu item on the screen .
It’s coming up on the list right? T est it out vs a L exus trackpad and tell us which one you like better.
![]() 01/10/2019 at 12:27 |
|
Yep! RDX c omes up in a few weeks.
The trackpad is nice because it does give feedback when you hit something you might want to press. Also, Lexus and Toyota still provide volume and tuner knobs!!!!

Looks quite nice in white. Curious to read how much more stuff the Signature has over my Touring.

Just went to RFD and there’s already a signature 6 review up. Will yours be like a second take or a roadtrip review?

I looked at a Mazda 6 when I was car shopping.
Mere disdain is insufficient. It crashed while the salesguy was trying to show how it worked. Then it crashed when he tried to show Apple Carplay.

Good to know haha. I’ll probably find some random take I have just like I ended up doing with the Optima Turbo. We operate out of separate Press Company Locals and get doubled up/will take whatever they give us.

Don’t worry I’ll still read your review :)
